Subject: Honorific element formatting placement via an attribute
Hello, There are some honorifics (Mr., Emperor) that are written before the name, and some, (Esquire, PhD.) which appear after. At present DocBook has no way of distinguishing the two. My thought is that the honorific element be given an attribute, perhaps "placement", to give the formatter guidance as to where the honorific should appear. This has been a problem for me. The "role" attribute can always be used and some custom solution kludged together but it seems a good idea to address the issue in a more formal manner.
