Subject: Re: [docbook-comment] Error when using DocBook DTD 4.5

Hi Norm,

I'm sorry for taking so long to follow up.

This problem went away without a change on our end, so it's still a little bit of a mystery. I'm not surprisedÂthe spec hasn't changed in a long time, but I was under the impression our stylesheet did parse the URL value of doctype-system in some way. I don't know why I thought that. My guess was that something happened with how the spec is hosted, but if it's not parsing something at that URL, I guess that doesn't make sense either.

Thanks in any case for your quick reply.

Best,
Matt

Nothing in your stylesheet fragment is going to read the DTD. What
document are you processing and is it well formed?

Is it possible your copy of docbookx.dtd has been corrupted?

That havenât been any changes to DocBook 4.5 in almost 15 years!

                    Be seeing you,
