Hi Karl,

| You're aware that each of our TCs (except for DocBook) have a TC
| members list and a comment list. For quite some time now we've been
| treating the docbook and docbook-apps lists as the DocBook TC's
| comment list (designed to acept public comments on the spec). And
| we've also got -dev lists for some TCs, where developers discuss
| implementations of thre specs.

Yes, I'm aware of those things.

| Given that we've created web forms as front ends for the comment lists
| (click the button for "Send A Comment" on the TC page), for
| consistency with all the other TCs I'd like to set up a
| docbook-comment list for your TC. docbook and docbook-apps would
| continue unchanged, and subscriptions for all three of these lists
| would be managed at http://www.oasis-open.org/mlmanage/main.php
|
| Any objections to this?

I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. I would actually be much happier if
the comment form just sent the comment to 'docbook'. I'd rather not
create *another* DocBook list.

I'm also confused by recent changes to the DocBook TC Home Page.
There's now a link to "Subscribe to docbook-dev". I really, really
don't want a docbook-dev list at OASIS. I think that the person that
updated the home page probably meant to say "docbook-comment", but I
could be mistaken. (I recall seeing some mail about this, but I've
been absurdly busy and I can't find it just at the moment.)

                                        Be seeing you,
                                          norm
