Something like:

db.length.type = string { pattern = 
"[0-9]*\.?[0-9]*(pt|cm|mm|in|pc|px|em|%)?" }

attribute width { db.length.type }
attribute height { db.length.type }
...

Which will make documents containing things like width="it-depends" invalid.
