Hi all,
I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year, and inform you of the
tentative schedule for the DocBook TC conference calls this year.  Mark your
calendars!

18 January
15 February
15 March
19 April
17 May
21 June
19 July
16 August
20 September

15 November
20 December

I also thought I would take this opportunity to remind everyone about the
OASIS TC attendance rules, which got a little fuzzy during the last year,
and then got clarified.  Now the rules are simple:

- If you miss two meetings in a row, you lose your voting rights, but remain
a Member.

- After losing your voting rights, if you then attend two meetings in a row,
you regain your voting rights for the next meeting, and become a Voting
Member again.

- If you anticipate (by at  least a week) missing a meeting and want to
avoid losing your voting rights, you can file for a leave of absense. You
are entitled to one "easy" leave per 12 month period, obtained simply by
requesting it from the committee chair Norm at least 7 days before the
meeting.  You may obtain a second leave in a 12 month period, but it must be
approved by the whole TC, which obviously requires more planning.
