DocBook repository confusion

Hi all,

Iâve been working on a major cleanup of the âdefguideâ repo. That
caused me to look more closely at the âdocbookâ repo and Iâm confused.

Some of the changes in 5.2 (e.g., buildtarget) are already checked
into master. Some are only in the docbook-5.2-dev branch. (We also had
some improvements that had been merged into master but not 5.2; that
may have been my fault, Iâve rebased them back into the 5.2 branch.)

Jirka, did you have a particular plan there?

On another front, the publishers 1.1 schema appears to have been
checked into the 5.1 branch, but not master. So the version in the 5.2
branch is 1.0 not 1.1. Iâm in the process of bringing the publishers
version in the 5.2-dev branch up to 1.1+.

I propose that we merge docbook-5.2-dev back into master since weâve
already got some 5.2 changes in there.

I propose also that we publish a 1.2b of Publishers thatâs based off
of 5.2 DocBook schema. Mostly this involves marking new elements as
ânot allowedâ (buildtarget, legalsection, etc.)

Does the TC have a sense of whether or not âformalgroupâ should be in
Publishers?
