Subject: Fwd: [docbook/docbook] Fix #206 by making the name attribute optional on meta (#207)
I reviewed this issue and its discussion, and there is a good use case for making @name optional in the new meta element. Since this is a new element, this change would have no backwards compatibility issues. I move we accept this change for the forthcoming DocBook 5.2.

Requiring name makes it parallel with HTML, but forces users
who want to leverage meta
for RDFa or other
purposes into dealing with a required attribute they don't need.
This PR makes it optional.
