DocBook Technical Committee Meeting Minutes: 14 SEP 2022

The DocBook Technical Committee met on Wed, 14 SEP 2022
(11am PDT, 12noon MDT, 1pm CDT, 2pm EDT, and 8pm CET)

1. Roll call

2. Accept the minutes [1] of the previous meeting (10 AUG 2022). ACCEPTED.

Next meeting: 12 OCT 2022

3. Review of open action items
1. ALL: Test v5.2 CR 3 (https://github.com/docbook/docbook/releases/tag/5.2CR3  )
1. Norm ran the full test suite and it did not show any diffs or issues.

b. Norm to update TDG based on latest content. Bob to provide Release Notes for the package (changes since 5.1).

STATUS: COMPLETE. 

c. Appendix reference the location of our issue tracker on Github (Bob) to add to Word doc as part of csd01 package. All approve this change.

d. Add TDG v5.2 as normative reference (Bob) to add to Word doc as part of csd01 package. All approve this change.
 

4. Social media presence for DocBook

Purpose: To raise awareness of actions (votes, calls for information, etc.) 

a.       ACTION: announced CR3 when available. (COMPLETE).

 

5. Remaining items for v5.2 Committee Spec
1. Bob to create OASIS package for submission based on CR3 (COMPLETE)
   we expect it to be published at:

5. Vote on OASIS Committee Specification Draft 01
   Based on the package available at: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/docbook/email/archives/202209/msg00000/docbook-v5.2-csd01.zip 
   Motion: Norm moves to approve this document as the OASIS Committee Specification Draft version 1 for DocBook version 5.2

6. Remaining issues

We are closing out issues in the tracker that have been addressed in v5.2. There are no new issues.
