DocBook Technical Committee Meeting Minutes: 14 DEC 2022

The DocBook Technical Committee met on Wed, : 14 DEC 2022
(11am PDT, 12noon MDT, 1pm CDT, 2pm EDT, and 8pm CET)

1. Roll call

2. Accept the minutes [1] of the previous meeting (08 AUG 2022).

3. Review of open action items

a.  ALL: Test v5.2 CR 2 (https://github.com/docbook/docbook/releases/tag/5.2CR2  )

b. Should section 1.1 or appendix reference the location of our issue tracker on Github? YES, Bob to include in CSD01

c. Add TDG v5.2 as normative reference YES, Bob to include in CSD01

 

4. Social media presence for DocBook

Purpose: To raise awareness of actions (votes, calls for information, etc.) 

a.            ACTION: announce CSD01 when available 

5. Remaining items for v5.2 Committee Spec
1. Bob to create OASIS package for submission for CSD01. we expect it to be published at:
   https://docs.oasis-open.org/docbook/docbook/v5.2/csd01/docbook-v5.2-csd01.html
   The permanent "Latest stage" URI will be:
   https://docs.oasis-open.org/docbook/docbook/v5.2/docbook-v5.2.html

2. Bob and Norm to coordinate build of the OASIS package.
   
   
5. Remaining issues

1. #241 Allow info as a top-level element Norm has implemented and created test case. Approved by all.
2. #240 Allow <topic>s to be nested like <section> No (unanimous). The case is handled using Assembly. Our topics are intended to be standalone.
3. #239 Missing set-xml-id attribute in xi:include Norm has implemented and created test case. Approved by all.
4. #242-245 are pull requests with the following fixes (Approved by all):
