DOCBOOK: texinfo->docbook?

Is there a sort of more or less ready to run converter from Texinfo
to DocBook?

We are maintaining a rather large (> 1MB, 500+ PDF pages) API 
specification in Texinfo format. Out of this we process online
documentation (HTML and PDF) and an XDR file for our RPC-based 
client/server software.

It looks like we get more and more need to extract other information
from the Texinfo file, so it might be a good idea to convert it
to DocBook, because I think postprocessing XML would be much easier.
