DOCBOOK: Changing output of <returnvalue> to <tt>

Hi,

How do we change the HTML stylesheet to have it format the <returnvalue>
tags as <tt> tags instead of <span> tags?

We're converting Docbook output to HTML for use in QNX helpviewer.  The
helpviewer only supports a subset of the HTML tags, and we've discovered
some erratic behavior as a result.  The helpviewer doesn't recognize the
<span> HTML tag generated from the <returnvalue> SGML tag, and it has a
bug that causes it to omit carriage returns in preformatted text after
unrecognizable tags.  So our <screen> formatting gets lost wherever we
use <returnvalue>.

Any suggestions?
