I would like to second Godoy's observation about the magnitude of
the task of marking up UNIX manpages and his suggestion for simplified
tagging.  Most of the writers in my group are quite accustomed to 
coding markup along with their text and they prefer using text editors.
Ergo, I am in favor of simpler (i.e., fewer keystrokes) tagging for
things like this.
