DOCBOOK: Rendering id attribute in title of note element?

Does anybody have a quick solution to get the id attribute
of the <note> element added to the rendered document, e.g.
as appended to the title or some such? I want to use id's
to mark the working notes, but have to enable reviewers to
refer to them by a unique name w/o reading the SGML source.
