Subject: Re: DOCBOOK: one xml file -> multiple html files?
Hello, First of all I would like to apologize is this is not a totally related question to DocBook. I am also using DocBook XML DTD (4.1.2) and I created a book that has -until now- two chapters. The first file contains the external entities to refer to the other files: <!ENTITY chapter1 SYSTEM "chapter1.xml"> <!ENTITY chapter2 SYSTEM "chapter2.xml"> and later on the &chapter1; and &chapter2; . I am using Xalan to create the HTML output (using the DocBook XSL stylesheet) and I would like to know, as Dmitry, how to create several HTML files. Thanks in advance. /B ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dmitry Tkatchenko" <dim@lavtech.ru> To: <docbook@lists.oasis-open.org> Sent: Tuesday, March 20, 2001 5:49 PM Subject: DOCBOOK: one xml file -> multiple html files? > Dear all! > > I'm writing a software documentation in Docbook (DTD DocBook XML V4.1.2) and > I wonder how do I write an xml file that is possible to convert into > multiple html files, e.g. every section or at least chapter in a separate > html file. > > I tried it writing xml under Windows in XML Spy 3.5 that converted it into > html using html DocBook Stylesheet 1.29 from Norman Walsh and Microsoft XML > parser 3.0, but unfortunately received a single large html file. > > What should I do! > > Thanx in advance! > > Dmitry
