Table formattting

I am formatting a document with long tables. They run for several pages.
I need to add, every time a table is divided, a note that is is a splitted
table:

I am usgin DSSSL stylesheets. Table formatting in DSSSL docbook stylesheets
is very complicated. Has someone a customization layer or a simplification
of the model that I could use? Anyone know how can I add such a notice each
time a table is split in two at a page end?
