Subject: questions and answers
Lads and Gents, Not to be a jerk but maybe I'm missing something. Could you please, Please, PLEASE point me in the right direction? I have attempted to download and install autodoc. I'm having major problems with trying to install the required "Docbook utilities". First of all I'm can't find anything to download from the Docbook website. Second, I've downloaded the file "docbook-utils-0.6.13-7.noarch.rpm" which required me to load the the rpm (cygwin version) utility. The problem here was that once I finally installed the rpm and executed it with the ".rpm" I recieved the following error: $ rpm -i docbook-utils-0.6.13-7.noarch.rpm error: failed dependencies: /usr/bin/perl is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 docbook-dtds is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 docbook-style-dsssl >= 1.72 is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 elinks is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 perl(Getopt::Long) >= 2.01 is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 perl(integer) is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 perl(strict) is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 perl(vars) is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 perl-SGMLSpm >= 1.03ii is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1 is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1 is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 tetex-dvips is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 which is needed by docbook-utils-0.6.13-7 OK, I was wondering: Do I need to download all of these components separately? Is there file or location that has this stuff? Do I have the correct file (docbook-utils-0.6.13-7.noarch.rpm)? Is it suppose to be this hard to get this? Is there more pizza?... no, wait... forget that one. Anyway,... HELP! Thanx in advance, JT Smith Senior Developer Moss & Codilis/Denver 720-240-5476 720-240-5451(Fax) jsmith@mosscodilis.com
