Subject: Re: [docbook] DocBook and Publishing Software
I have made good experiences with the XXE Editor from XMLMind. Functionality, extensibility, documentation and especially support are all very good. You can publish in HTML/RTF/PDF directly from the editor with the standard stylesheets. Since it has DTD, XMLSchema, and RelaxNG support you're on the safe side in regard to future developments. There is a free version (with only very slightly limited capabilities), which can be used to get a feeling with XML editing. Best wishes, -- klaus e. werner p.s. An alternative would be XForms (support announced for OpenOffice.org and Firefox), but this is still the sound of the future - and certainly not for longer articles or whole books.
