Subject: RE: [docbook] literallayout equation

Hi Chris,

I can't tell for sure which of the examples on the page
you list are inside a literallayout in the DocBook source,
but I presume at least one is the example in problem 3-2
that starts with:

Minimize: ... then starts with the following mml:
  <mml:semantics definitionURL="" encoding="">
    <mml:mrow>
      F
      <mml:mo>=</mml:mo>
      <mml:mrow>
        <mml:msubsup>
          X
          1
          2
        </mml:msubsup>
  etc. ...

That example and the matrix immediately below render fine
for me, as does the rest of the page.

I used Firefox 1.5.0.2 on Windows XP SP2 and Firefox 1.0.7
on Linux (SuSE 10). In both cases, Firefox complained
about some missing fonts, but even without those fonts, the
examples looked good to me, and as far as I can tell, match
the examples in .png in your second link. When I loaded the
missing fonts on the Windows system, things looked the same.

So, I'm not sure where the problem is, but I suspect it's
in the browser, either the configuration (though I'm not
sure there is any configuration short of fonts needed) or
the version; I haven't tried 1.5.0.2 on Linux, so that may
be the problem.

I hope that helps at least a bit. Good luck.

Dick
