Subject: Re: [docbook] header/footer
Hi Klaus, There is no markup in DocBook to indicate header and footer text. Headers and footers are a stylesheet feature, where the stylesheet selects or generates content to display in those locations. If you use the DocBook XSL stylesheets, there are templates that can be customized to change the header/footer text. For more information, see: http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/PrintHeaders.html Regarding entities, yes, a collection of shared entities is commonly used. For details, see: http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/ModularEntities.html Bob Stayton Sagehill Enterprises bobs@sagehill.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Klaus Jantzen" <k.d.jantzen@t-online.de> To: "docBook" <docbook@lists.oasis-open.org> Sent: Monday, July 19, 2010 5:25 AM Subject: [docbook] header/footer > Hi, > > I am doing my first experiments with docBook and have now the following questions: > > a) What is the markup for a header/footer in <article> ? > b) Is it possible to collect ENTITYs (with which I define abbreviations for > frequently used words) > in a single file that can be used in different arcticles? > > Thank you. > -- > > K.D.J. > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: docbook-unsubscribe@lists.oasis-open.org > For additional commands, e-mail: docbook-help@lists.oasis-open.org > > >
