Subject: Re: [docbook] Sections in Colophons
Hi Bob, Thanks, I think you're right on the reason, and I don't see any strong reason to ask for an RFE, so I won't. I've used bridgeheads in the past, and only ran into this because I was generating DocBook from a script that created sections inside the colophon. I'll just tweak the script to generate bridgeheads and all will be well (as long as the anti-bridgehead contingent doesn't come down on me:-). But now that you mention it, a couple of years ago a client asked me about it, and I suggested using bridgeheads so they could label the various divisions in the colophon. > > Bob Stayton > Sagehill Enterprises > bobs@sagehill.net > > On 2/17/2014 11:31 AM, Richard Hamilton wrote: >> Does anyone know why sections are not allowed inside colophons? >> >> I don't desperately need sections inside colophons (and the stylesheets handle them nicely, even though they're invalid:-), but I'm curious as to whether there is a reason why they're not allowed. >> >> Best regards, >> Dick Hamilton >> ------- >> XML Press >> XML for Technical Communicators >> http://xmlpress.net >> hamilton@xmlpress.net >> >> >> >> >> --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe, e-mail: docbook-unsubscribe@lists.oasis-open.org >> For additional commands, e-mail: docbook-help@lists.oasis-open.org >> >> >> >>
