Subject: RE: [dsaw-program] Revised Programme 9-12-06

Would you like me to add that to each individual's title (Mr., Mrs., Ms.). I
don't know how one goes about determining the marital status of professional
women? Does anyone know the etiquette for such inquiries, short of going to
each and asking?
Thanks!

Indeed, as a matter of protocol, the titles for ITU matters are Mr, Ms, Mrs.
Titles as PhD, Dr etc are omitted.

Exceptions are for certain special titles: HRM (royalty), HE
(minister/ambassador), Rev. (clergy), Lord and Sir.

Thanks
Simão

Hi Dee,

...

I'd suggest removing "Dr." as an honorific for Renato; it's a safe guess
that most of the speakers have doctorates.
