Subject: Re: Question

Hi Steven

To represent relationships with the LDAP/X.500 user information model you
can either use DIT subtree inclusion (e.g. group entry at the top of the and
member attributes underneath that entry) or use appropriately named
relationship attributes (having a attribute syntax of DN) - and there are
some generally useful relatinship attributes define din X.520. In the latter
case, no checks are made by the directory server that the entry pointed to
by the relationship entry actually exists.

You might also want to look at the groupOfNames object class defined in
X.521.

regards

Steve Fisher
