Actually it should probably be  "[0-2]\.[0-9]+(\.[0-9]+)*" since . is a pattern for any character.

I just noticed (or rather a schema validator noticed for me), the the pattern used to define NumericOID is not valid.
The pattern is "[0-2].[0-9]+[.[0-9]+]*" when it is probably meant to be "[0-2].[0-9]+(.[0-9]+)*" .
