Dear Madam,
Dear Sir,

The ETSI Plugtests Service is pleased to invite you to participate in
the first XAdES v1.3.2 (ETSI TS 101 903 v1.3.2) REMOTE INTEROPERABILITY
EVENT, supported by the XAdES Remote Plugtest Portal.

ETSI is playing a key role in the development of electronic signatures
related standards, including XAdES (ETSI TS 101 903). The importance of
XAdES can further be seen in the increasing support by both national
legislation in European countries, and the market, where more and more
products report capability for supporting XAdES signature generation and
verification.

ETSI organized in the past two face-to-face XAdES Plugtest events, which
attracted major XAdES implementers. These events had a large impact on
recent XAdES standardization activities, with most of their
recommendations being incorporated in the latest XAdES version.

Participants will PARTICIPATE REMOTELY in the Plugtest without having to
travel to ETSI premises. The event is open to XAdES software vendors and
vendors of platforms offering XAdES signatures production and/or
verification capabilities, which may ascertain the quality of their
products. The event is also open to service providers offering XAdES
signature production and/or verification capabilities, which may
evaluate the platforms used in their provision of services. The event is
open to both ETSI members and non-members.

The purposes of this event are:

    * To enable participants to assess the level of interoperability of
      XAdES.
    * To improve the quality of XAdES specification, by detecting any
      interoperability issues.
    * To identify additional issues that should be taken into account in
      future XAdES standardization activities.
    * To ease the introduction of XAdES signatures, by providing the
means to solve interoperability problems before widespread
      deployment.

The event will evaluate XAdES interoperability by focusing on the
different XAdES forms standardized in ETSI TS 101 903 v1.3.2, including
XAdES-BES, XAdES-EPES, XAdES-T, XAdES-C, XAdES-X Type 1, XAdES-X Type 2,
XAdES-XL and XAdES-A.

Participants will be provided with the cryptographic material required
for both generating and verifying XAdES signatures. This will include
among others: signer certificates, CAs certificates, CRLs, OCSP
responses and time-stamps. In addition, participants will be able to
generate new test case definitions and signatures, which will be taken
into consideration for extending the test cases set according to ETSI's
discretion.

The registration deadline is 15^th February 2008. We recommend you to
register as soon as possible. All details about this event, including
all the technical information are available at
