[18:16] Juan Carlos: AK: the approach for the new verification profile is something different, as it introduces the concept of constraints to be applied while validating signatures.

[18:17] Juan Carlos: DH: I understood that the STF is still in the face where they have a look to different verification reports. If we somehow can manage to colaborate with the STF is not too late.
[18:17] Juan Carlos: AK: on the constraints, the concept has been formalized in the EN 319 102
[18:19] Juan Carlos: JC: we could incorporate this concept into our documents and let the STF know it so that they may incorporate references to it.
[18:27] Stefan Hagen: Stefan kindly requests clarification of IPR conflicts mentioned from ETSI meeting context

[18:34] Juan Carlos: JC: ETSI has an IPR model different from the IPR in the OASIS DSSX-TC, which, according to ESI Technical Officer, could be a blocking point for making contributions to each other's documents.
[18:35] Juan Carlos: JC: Regarding the protocol document, the plans of the STF were to define requirements for the semantics of each component of the request and response messages, and once they defined, to define initially two syntaxes: the document pointed to OASIS XML and OASIS JSON
[18:35] Juan Carlos: However, there were some people questioning the worthiness of having two syntaxes.
[18:36] Juan Carlos: Temporarilly it was decided to keep this approach and that the ESI would make a final decision in some point in time.
[18:36] Juan Carlos: Also, related with that is the fact that the CSC mentioned that they are working in a protocol for requesting validation of signatures, which they plan to bring as input to this work.
[18:36] Juan Carlos: ETSI and CSC are working in the establishment of a cooperation agreement that will allow them to contribute to each other's work
[18:37] Juan Carlos: OASIS DSSX members will keep discussing whether it woudl be interesting to achieve such type of agreement with ETSI, as DSSX was created precisely under Royalty Free mode
