URL=https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/60713/dss-core-v2.0-wd01-2017-05-14.docx
[19:56] Stefan Hagen: Juan Carlos: Suggests to not reduce AnyType to base64 and hints at inconsistencies (because ds:Transform has been left as is
[19:58] Stefan Hagen: Andreas: Notes that before reducing AnyType to base64 plus MimeType hint on content, he die remove any possibly AnyType from the schema and put a specific in place.
[19:59] Stefan Hagen: Detlef: Mentions that these places where AnyType is being used should label Extension points to be filled in possibly by the union set of all used profiles
[20:00] Stefan Hagen: Ernst-Jan: Also emphasizes, that these should be extension points that must be dealt with (but not necessarily be completely processed if a format has no concept for it).
[20:02] Stefan Hagen: Andreas: Notes also, that even in XML details like signatures - albeit possibly available as XML "directly" - are in reality often transported in base64, ASN.1 encoding of the signature elements and that implementers of our specified services probably just will put the e.g. signature into a byte array and hand it over to a processing service and then continue with the response of that service but not inspect the details of a signature.
[20:05] Stefan Hagen: Stefan: Suggests, that we should try the following: rename the Base64Content element of AnyType into Content and interpret the mime-type indicator inside the mistype attribute of the element depending on a new optional (with default) attribute isBase64 which per default should be true but when false, the mimeType would target the type of the content as-is, whilst when isBase64 missing or true the mmeType shall target the "content packed inside the base64" held inside the Content element.
[20:07] Stefan Hagen: All agree, that this is a promising approach to avoid the dilemma of chasing between container only "shipping" and weird content in formats, where e.g. inner structure of such "stuff" placed in AnyType extension slots is unknown and not being dealt with "directly".
[20:08] Stefan Hagen: Detlef: Asked for markup so that the DocBook profile (the only one for now) can be phrased aligned with the typographical conventions currently used in Core v2 working draft revisions.
[20:08] Stefan Hagen: Ernst-Jan: Currently has none.
[20:09] Stefan Hagen: Detlef: Will report an issue
[20:10] Stefan Hagen: Meeting adjourned around 19:20 (everyone was vividly discussing, no one cared to take notes, so these have been entered short after the meeting to at least document the main points discussed.
