Indeed you are right...the output of the transformation is the node set 
of the enveloping document.!!!....my memory is getting worse and worse 
with years... I just mixed up things.

Nevertheless I guess that one could define a XPath transformation that 
could be the "inverse" to this one....I guess it would not be that 
difficult....but the issue whether this would allow a correct treatment 
of the namespaces would stil remain
