DSS TC Conference Call Agenda

1. Welcome by chair (Juan Carlos Cruellas)

3. Roll Call 

Quorum reached, 7 participants on call.

4. Approval of agenda 

Approved.

5. Approval of minutes of 7th Feb 05

Minutes approved.

6. Outstanding Actions 

ACTION - 05-10-03    [Juan Carlos, Ed] Discuss in more detained plans on
the list 
and start generating a inter-op and testing document that records what
is intended to be done, specify any meta data agreed, recoded decisions;
parameters used, test vectors, etc. 

Ed sent materials (certs, keys). Ongoing. 

ACTION - 05-10-04    [Chairs] Following the successful ballot, action NP
to update 
the text of the documents which are to be submitted to OASIS as
committee drafts. 

Completed.  Documents are on home page. Minor change - no subdirectory
for date. Nick corrected all documents and schemas. 

ACTION - 05-10-05    [Chairs] Action NP to update the web page and
generate message 
for OASIS news, informing them that the documents have been update to
committee drafts and to provide information about the proposed inter-op
test. 

Completed.

ACTION - 05-02-07-01 [Trevor] Add section on upcoming Profiles to
Roadmap Document.

ACTION - 05-02-07-02 [All Profile Editors] Read Roadmap Document and
provide comments.

ACTION - 05-02-07-03 [Glenn]  Submit Signature Gateway Profile document
with abstract and concrete profiles.

ACTION - 05-02-07-04 [All] Look up issue of including XKI as an option
in the Signature Gateway Profile.

Juan Carlos refers to web site indicating XKI is a patented technology.
Sounds like a product, not a specification to reference.

New Action item - 05-02-28-01 - Juan Carlos to post URL to list

John Messing - some of introductory text might require revision - e.g.
digital images

Nick - Not saying we need to explicitly reference XKI, but that it could
be used

John Messing - would like generic terminology to cover types of
signatures - or see more complete list of examples. Goal is to be clear
that list is not exhaustive list of signatures.

John - Messing - e.g. Like Dsig, could have symmetric keys - maybe
approach is to reference Dsig.

Glenn indicated understanding.

New Action-item - 05-02-28-02 - Glenn to update signature gateway
profile 

ACTION - 05-02-07-04 closed


ACTION - 05-02-07-05 [Dimitri] Draft text for nested renewal timestamps,
specify documents affected, and continue discussion on the mailing list.

Completed, posted to list.

ACTION - 05-02-07-06 [Nick, Juan Carlos, Trevor] Draft a response to
submitted public comment about multiple signatures, and send to the
mailing list.

Completed, message sent to list and in response to public comment.

7. Upcoming Profiles 

- Signature gateway profile (Glenn Benson) 

No update.

- Potential profile on nested time-stamps (Dimitri)

Posted draft on Friday to amend existing timestamp profile to allow
nested timestamps on renewal.

Dimitri agrees with adding a type for previous timestamp.

Juan Carlos - Defer discussion until people have read document.

Nick - would like high level discussion
Add optional extension to request to support optional functionality.
Thus can comply with timestamp yet not support the optional
functionality (e.g. renewal functionality)
Need means to indicate support for optional extension.

Glenn - Could be indicated by service policy. Got this feedback on
service gateway when soliciting comment.

Nick - how to identify semantics of service policy

Glenn - Out of band

Discussion on where to define - in basic timestamp profile described as
possibility.

Juan-Carlos asks Dimitri/Glenn to provide specific text

New Action-item - 05-02-28-03 - Dimitri to post text to the list, TC to
review contribution, before next call.

Glenn - could be a concrete profile, which would not be out of band

Juan-Carlos - Could have both (out of band, and not out of band).

Dimitry - would like to have sub-profile for X995 compliance services.
Policy issue of whether supported.

Nick - we need a written proposal

Glenn - would like this to work with signature gateway profile

Nick - perhaps put general text into core

Agreement to get text proposal first.


- Reports regarding any progress on other profiles

No reports.

8. Interoperability testing 

Continued progress.
Started exchange of keys and certifications. Would like to exchange
signatures this week.
Report at next conference call.

9. Date of Next meeting. Proposal for March 21st 2005.

Goal to keep with regular schedule, since last week was a holiday in US.

Meeting of 7 March cancelled. Next meeting 21 March.
