Subject: RE: [ebcore] RE: [ebxml-bp] Groups - A sample CPFR(r) process modeled in ebBP (CPP_BuyerManaged.xml) uploaded

Hello,

For people interested in ebBP applications, here is another
interesting recent reference in the textile industry:

http://spring.bologna.enea.it/ebiz/defaultebiz.asp?tabella=p
rocessi&versione=DOWNSTREAM
http://spring.bologna.enea.it/ebiz/defaultebiz.asp?tabella=p
rocessi&versione=2008-1
http://spring.bologna.enea.it/ebiz/defaultebiz.asp?tabella=p
rocessi&versione=SHOENET

There are a number of TCF industry pilot projects ongoing,
in at least one of which these ebBP descriptions have been
used to generate CPAs for the exchange of UBL messages
(using a UBL profile defined in the same project) using
ebXML Messaging among some small and medium size textile
industry businesses ..

Hi Professor Dogac,

Thanks for this information about usage of ebBP.

We are transitioning our OASIS ebBP TC work to a maintenance
mode, and will conduct that activity within the ebCore TC of
OASIS. So it would be good to post to that group or its
comments list to make certain the maintenance participants
see news of your work. (I copied that list so people can
track down the trail in the ebBP mailing list.)

We do have documentation of business processes underway in
other data standards development organizations.

It would be nice to add news of your iSURF project work at
our ebXML site, ebxml.xml.org. Would it be OK if we posted
this information to that site, using your descriptions?

Thanks,

Dear Colleagues,

Within the scope of iSURF (ICT-213031), we have expressed
CPFR definitions in machine processable language, namely,
in OASIS ebXML Business Process specification language. One
of the aims of iSURF project is to create a Service
Oriented Supply Chain Collaboration environment to
coordinate collaborative planning process. To enable this,
we decided to create the building blocks of collaborative
planning, forecasting, and replenishment process as machine
processable binary collaboration definitions as ebBP
Business Transactions. Then through the collaborative
planning process design tool, the SMEs are enabled to create
their n-tier planning process definition in terms of these
predefined binary collaborations, and the machine
processable planning process definition are produced as an
ebBP process definition.

Enclosed please a sample ebBP CPFR definition.

Please note that:

Interindustry Commerce Solutions (VICS) association. The
term "CPFR(r)" is not be used in any format without written
permission from VICS. For more information on VICS and
CPFR(r), visit www.vics.org"

I thought it might be good to inform OASIS ebBP community
about this activity. I am at your disposal for any further
information that you might need.
