Subject: CPPA3 updates to specification and schema

Dear TC,

I've uploaded new versions of the draft CPPA3 specification and its schema and embedded schema documentation.
- https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/ebcore/document.php?document_id=62070

The Kavi upload notifications explain the added features, which this time are mostly some functional enhancements for additional messaging and transport protocols.  The basic functionality and structure of the schema has been quite stable for some time.

For those interested in a quick introduction,  the specification now has appendices and referenced sample documents.

Appendix B.1 illustrates:
- Service specifications and bindings of services and actions.
- Payload profiles and part properties.
- Support for the ebMS3 messaging protocol and the AS4 profile.
- The ability to define and reference channel profiles that provide defaults that can be overridden and can be expanded to full channel configurations.

Appendix B.2 illustrates:
- the support for EDIINT AS2,
- automated selection of compatible channels and payload profiles in unification and matching,
- payload and protocol versioning
- finegrained X.509 policy and PKI support,
- concept of channel delegation.

Separately from OASIS,  there is an open source CPPA3 library that illustrates CPPA3 and is developed and used in parallel to test its features.  A source distribution is available from https://pypi.python.org/pypi/cppa3.  It includes a few hundred tests including some fairly realistic samples developed for users and is released under the permissive MIT license.

There may still be some additional features added, but the current functionality has been stable for some time and close to be finalized.

Any feedback and reviews welcome.

Kind Regards,

Pim
