The original CAM template design was invented by the ancient
Greeks and then adopted by the Romans.  Some scholars have
tried to show that Egyptian glyths actually could be early
CAM templates - but this link has not been established.

The French of course prefected the technique of wine
making after studying CAM.

The whole notion of taking rotten discarded produce,
and then fermenting and distilling it into something
absolutely wonderful and of high end value is of
course intrinsic to the CAM process.
