Subject: [Re: [ebsoa] Open Distributed Processing - Reference Model - Enterprise Language]

Thanks for this document. Has there been any discussion of our adopting
its lexicon? What would the advantages/disadvantages of doing so be? Do
we expect its lexicon to be widely used? If so by whom?

Joe

Here is the URL of a Document that may have been sent to this list by
David Webber. Should help us abstract away from the technology layer.

The document is the ISO specification of Open Distributed Processing
Reference Model Enterprise Language. I keep coming back to it in my
research for defining choreography and orchestration. We will visit most
of these issues in the context of ebSOA and its relationship to

  1. W3C CDL (Choreography Definition Language)
  2. OASIS BPSS, BPEL, WSFI
  3. W3C WS Architecture Service Model
  4. OMG Business Process Meta Model

Enjoy. <Dan/>

PS. If anybody is plugged in the ISO circles, it is called ISO/IEC
15414 or ITU-T Recommendation X.911. It should be nearing draft ballot
status this summer. Would like to know status.
