Subject: Re: InfoWorld SOA Forum submission

Jill,

I chair the OASIS ebSOA technical committee (see the sig at the bottom)
and am submitting this information for the SOA Conference. I have
completed the form online with the information included here also.

Here is the abstract:
"This presentation will introduce methods and a set of principles and
guidelines for consistently and accurately deploying value chain
processes within a SOA. The approach is based on a two-tiered framework,
Integrated Process and Technology Framework, in which business semantics
are first defined through applicaton of a value chain reference model,
VCOR (Value Chain Operations Reference model), and then a conceptual
architecture, FERA (Federated Enterprise Reference Architecture),
facilitates mapping business collaboration patterns to the appropriate
capabilities within a SOA infrastructure. The transformation of the
models of collaborative process patterns to the SOA runtime environment
is accomplished through a SOA Informaton Model that is part of a
proposed SOA standard. The FERA-based SOA specifications will be
introduced to describe how they provide full enterprise-level SOA
support from both a functional as well as implementational point of
view. The presentation utilizes a supply chain use case, Logistics
Network Services, to illustrate how the fully defined SOA collaboration
semantics resolve the problem of semantic integration."
