Sometimes even the most brilliant analysts get things backward (not speaking of the author of the paper below).

 

In December 2004, Judith Hurwitz & Associates (whose newsletters I like very much) predicted that "Services as Software" would be the next big thing[1].

 

Then in March of this year, they apparently reversed their view, writing about "Software as a Service[2]".
