ebBP 12/4/2006: Reminder Call 5 December - OASIS Standard VoteDisposition

To TC voting members and members,

As indicated in http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/ballot.php?id=1150, the ebBP v2.0.4 ballot ended 30 November 2006 and achieved overwhelming approval from the OASIS member organizations (affirmative 89, negative 1, and abstain 0).

Due to the negative vote recorded, our TC must make a decision and formally request OASIS to continue with ebBP v2.0.4 standardization. See TC process, Section 3.4, http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/process.php#3.4.

No comment was received explaining the single negative vote, and Dale and I have asked for comments. Therefore, on  tomorrow's call, we will be asking our voting members to agree to move the specification forward.  Any voting member or member with comments otherwise, should contact Dale and I separately by Friday, 8 December 2006 (5 p.m. PT).  If this is an acceptable path, no response is required. 

In order to allow for a response to our inquiry, no formal action will be taken until after 8 December.
Note, that voting members are asked to attend tomorrow's call to discuss.  Thank you.
