Subject: [ebxml-cppa] null element values in XSD
To confirm my
recollection during today's call, XSD does indeed provide for "out of band" null
element values. Elements can be declared with a "nillable" attribute value
of "true" and empty instances of those elements can be given an "xsi:nil"
attribute with a value of "true". See: http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-1/#xsi_nil http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-0/#Nils However, no similar provision exists in XSD for null attributes (which would effectively entail attributes of attributes). Tony |
