Subject: [ebxml-cppa] Attributes before Elements
Peter Ogden raised the issue of presenting an
element's attributes before its subelements and we agreed to that ordering
during a recent call. I later realized that there are two aspects of
attribute/element ordering:
1. Subsequent sections on attributes precede subsequent
sections on sub-elements.
2. Text within the section describing a particular element
discusses its attributes before its elements.
I believe that version 1.07 more or less always observes
the first constraint, but not always the second. Was the second constraint
also intended, or just the first? Sometimes, for example, the text
flows most easily by enumerating the attributes at the end of the
section for a given element (after mentioning its subelements) and then
proceeding directly to the subsections that describe those attributes.
Okay?
