and Agreements

Karl, IBM would like to submit the following intellectual property
disclosure to OASIS, in support of the ebXML Collaboration Protocol
Profiles (CPP's) and Collaboration Protocol Agreements (CPA's) Technical

The disclosure submission identifies one unpublished patent application
and
one issued patent.

IBM Intellectual Property Disclosure for OASIS - March 27, 2002

IBM pursues a full disclosure policy, regarding published patent
applications and issued patents, in accordance with OASIS (Organization
for
the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) intellectual
property
policies, when participating in OASIS specifications developing
activities.
IBM is unable to provide specific information regarding unpublished
patent
applications, until such time as the applications are published or the
patents are issued.

IBM intellectual property disclosures are based upon the working
knowledge
of those individuals involved with the respective Technical Committee
and
do not represent the results of an IBM patent portfolio search.

IBM believes it may have the following patent which relates to or is
essential to compliant implementations of OASIS ebXML Collaboration
Protocol Profiles (CPP's) and Collaboration Protocol Agreements (CPA's)
specifications.

IBM US Patent 6,148,290 (Service Contract for ManagingService Systems,
issued November, 2000, to Asit Dan & Francis Parr)

In support of OASIS intellectual property rights procedures, IBM is
willing to offer non-exclusive licenses in support of claims associated
with the above patent, upon written request from implementers of OASIS
ebXML Collaboration Protocol Profiles (CPP's) and Collaboration Protocol
Agreements (CPA's) specifications, under reasonable and
non-discriminatory
terms and conditions, in accordance with IBM's usual licensing
practices,
when there is a necessary dependence upon IBM patent claims to implement
the above specifications.

IBM also believes it has an unpublished patent application which may
relate
to the OASIS ebXML Collaboration Protocol Profiles (CPP's) and
Collaboration Protocol Agreements (CPA's) specifications under
development.
IBM is unable to provide more specific information regarding this
unpublished patent application, until such time as the application is
published or the patent is issued.

Should this patent application be issued as a patent, and this patent is
identified as essential to the compliant implementation of the OASIS
ebXML
specifications, IBM, in support of OASIS intellectual property rights
procedures, is willing to offer nonexclusive licenses under the issued
patent, upon written request from the implementers. These licenses will
be
provided under reasonable and non-discriminatory terms and conditions,
in
accordance with IBM's then current licensing practices. (When and if
the
unpublished patent application becomes published, IBM will be able to
provide this documentation to the OASIS Technical Committee.)

Any party wishing to request or inquire about a patent license, in
support
of an OASIS specification, should write to :
