Subject: Draft of Packaging correction: Also Remember to vote on the PartyID ballot at the ebXML CPPA members' page
Hi, I am attaching draft language for the Packaging clarification. The compromise solution, as I understood it, was to introduce a convention for handling the way to declare a MIME entity consisting of one "text/xml" part (for simple SOAP) and to declare a MIME entity consisting of a "multipart/related" with one "text/xml" part (for the same thing bundled up for SwA.) The first paragraph explains a convention which I think would work. Please comment if you want something else but it must suffice to permit a declaration distinguishing the multipart/related bundling of a SOAP envelope from a plain SOAP envelope as the only bodypart. This convention would be used until we issue a 2.1 update (or a new major version if that happens first). Then the convention would be deprecated for new usage in favor of the schema based choice that has been mentioned. Also, a possible schema change to allow Packaging to have a choice over a CompositeList or a Constituent is included. Those interested can scrutinize this [I haven't checked it by hand but just took the output from a graphical tool]. There are other ways to do the choice, and if other ways have advantages over this one that you really like, please mention them as candidates. Thanks, Dale Moberg
