Information at 10th ebXML Asia Committee

Dear members of OASIS ebXML CPPA TC:

The 10th ebXML Asia Committee was held on Dec. 4 to 6, 2003 at Okinawa in
Japan.
The attendees are 42 people from seven countries (Japan, Korea, Chinese
Taipei, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and USA)
I have made a presentation regarding ebXML CPPA TC using the attached PPT
file named 'Current Status of OASIS ebXML CPPA TC'.

I have made two questions to all attendees. The followings are the questions
and answers.

1. How many people are deploying or promoting ebXML CPPA?
Three companies have answered.
(1) Innodigital (IT vendor of Korea)
Innodigital has developed software product named 'CPPA Composer' based on
CPPA V2.0.
POSDATA corporation has implemented this software product.
Innodigital is also interesting in Negotiation Specification. The reason is
follows.
Innodigital thinks that the creation of agreed CPA is very difficult.
Innodigital thinks that the Automated Negotiation may help to create agreed
CPA.
Innodigital thinks that the progress of the Negotiation Specification is too
slow.
Innodigital will study the Negotiation Specification V0.10. If Innodigital
will have some questions and comments, will send them to CPPA TC by way of
ECOM.

(2) CECID of Hong Kong
CECID has developed many open source software based on ebXML. For example,
Hermes (supporting ebMS), ebxmlrr (supporting ebXML R&R) ebMail (supporting
ebMS for SME).
The latest version of Hermes is V0.931. This version is supporting only
ebMS.
But at the next version, Hermes will support ebXML CPPA.
PAA (Pan Asia e-commerce Alliance) is a very progressive alliance that
developing the next generation sophisticated trading systems fully based on
ebXML.
CECID said that PAA is now considering to adopt Hermes that will support
ebXML CPPA specification.
CECID is also interested in the Negotiation Specification. CECID thinks that
the Negotiation Specification may be useful.

(3) Fujitsu of Japan
Fujitsu is developing the solution software products supporting ebXML CPPA
specification.

2. How many people are interesting in the Automated Negotiation
specification? Please raise your hand.
Fourteen people raised the hand. They are the following companies.

Innodigital of Korea
K4M of Korea
GCOM of Chinese Taipei
Trade-Van of Chinese Taipei
NSTDA of Thailand
NTT Data of Japan
Fujitsu of Japan
Accenture of Japan
I have handed the Automated Negotiation Specification V0.10 to them for
their references.
