Subject: Transition to ebCore and submission of version 3.0 drafts, and some news.

Here is what I gathered from OASIS discussions on IP aspects of the CPPA transition plan:

Because CPPA version 3.0 has been developed under RF with limited terms, that specification can move to ebCore without issues.

Because previous parties issuing statements concerning CPPA version 2.0 did not participate in version 3.0, those previous statements are independent

of CPPA version 3.0.

Next topic, some news.

At the UBL 2008 conference, a half day session on ebXML was held. While ebMS 3.0 was a topic of interest, both prototype and research on CPPA version 3 was presented by OASIS TC members and by Italian University research teams (from Pisa and Bologna). Requests for some samples of CPPA version 3 usage  have been prepared that show how to combine ebBP 2.0, CPPA 3.0, either WSDL 2.0 or 1.1

A zip file containing these examples is attached. Comments and corrections are welcome! Other requests for features to document in examples are also welcome.

If you do want to examine the examples, here are some cautions:

The enclosed ZIP file contains some WSDL examples for the CPPA version 3 samples package.

The schemaLocations will probably need adjustment to work.

There is an xsd definining the exchanged messages, in hello.xsd.
There are two wsdl files, HelloWSDLv2.wsdl and HelloWSDLv1.wsdl that capture the interfaces.
There is a cppa-v3.0-example-wd-WSHello-bpss-r01.en.xml ebBP 2.0 with Operation Mappings for WSDL.
There are four CPPs reflecting WSDL 1.1 or WSDL 2.0 profiles.

There is one CPA reflecting the WSDL 2.0 version.

(For the 1.1 version I need to recheck how to reference operations in WSDL 1.1 using the recent W3C note. I think it is more or less the same as for WSDL 2.0 references)
And then there are xml.xsd, schema.xsd, wsdl10.xsd and wsdl.20 files to check validity while offline.

PS: Pim there are some minor updates from the zip file contents that I sent to you earlier this week, discovered when merging the CPPs into a CPA.
