Subject: Next call Monday 13
All:
I have not planned a meeting for today, yet I am open to informal discussion if enough are interested:
just let me know by email, I'll open the bridge same time.
A few things are happening that we would otherwise discuss next meeting (Dec 13).
- Efforts to promote test requirements methodology in other OASIS TCs are gearing up. As TAB member, I am editor of a Test Assertion guideline doc (as part of my job in OASIS TAB) that is derived from Test Framework test requirements - mostly the terminology is changing. No mark-up defined yet. The intent is for the TAB to recommend this to the Board at some point.
- Contacts taken with QA group in W3C, which is very open to defining a common Test Requirement methodology and model. Objective would be to get to a common test requirement (or test assertion) representation across OASIS, W3C, WS-I, and get tehse orgs recommend to their work grops to use it... There may be some technical hurdles to discuss : WS-I representation is kind of customized for "profiles", has specific features, and a specific mark-up.
- OASIS (Pim V.D.E., Andy Moir) is planning for setting up new conformance / interoperability events in 2005, and want to discuss this on
the next call. OASIS is also moving on with a testing program.
Next meeting is for next week
Date: Monday, December 13, 2004
Time: 02:00pm - 03:00pm Pacific Time
Rough agenda:
1- Update on Test Framework 1.1 spec, editorial status for OpenOffice version, table conversions, etc. - ready to publish?
2- update on the current cross-standard efforts for a common Test Assertion guideline doc.
3- OASIS plans for 2005 testing program (Pim, Andy)
4- update on NIST implementation
5- follow-up on BPSS testing
Regards,
Jacques
