Subject: minutes Fri June 23rd

Minutes of last meeting Fri June 23rd:

Pete Wenzel

Monica Martin

Jacques Durand

Excused:

Sacha Schlegel

1. ebBP template for vote as CD

- the ebBP deployment profile template WD (last updated by Monica) was voted CD (modulo a few minor editorial changes that Monica will do, one of them being swapping her  name with Pete  between authors / contributors.), completing the set of three templates (ebMS, CPPA, ebBP). We will consider a joint CS at some later point.

- no deployment profile template considered at this time for RegRep, as some more investigation is needed about the relevance of a notion of deployment profile in addition to the current existing notion of RR profile. It seems there is an agreement that the two are different, but the RR TC needs to evaluate whether a template is valuable.

2. new IPR policy, future of the TC w/r to new work

- new IPR policy: so far there is consensus that we must consider transition to new IPR, as the TC may not fold if new work gets started. But potential contributors of this new work need be consulted (KorBIT, NIST for test case script, NIST for test assertions).

- Test assertions: although this work is not limited to ebXML, it is agreed that  in a first phase, it makes sense to host it in IIC and to produce a first CD there, if only to give it an OASIS status. Later on it should be contributed to a more general forum, e.g. a  QA TC and possibly be an input to a joint TA guideline with another org.

- Test case scripting: need to proceed as well in IIC . Interest in potential to become an underlying validation/monitoring mechanism for ebBP transactions. Not to be restricted to ebXML.
