Subject: Proposed AS4 Agenda for F2F Meeting

Here's an outline of topics that I think are up for discussion at the
F2F based upon (1) historical AS4 tech discussions from the past, (2)
initial discussions on the ebxml-msg list with Dale and Jacques, and (3)
some of my own thoughts:

1. Summary of Version 1 of the Profile Focal Points
    (a) Basic Web services packaging, transport and security
    (b) SOAP 1.1, SwA, WS-Security, WS-Addressing, and WS-I Basic and
Basic Security Profiles
    (c) Business non-repuditation
    (d) Lightweight RM??
    (e) Should be able to leverage ebMS 3.0 heavily for these areas

2. Lightweight WSDL definition
    (a) document-agnostic
    (b) generic business process (i.e. FileTransfer operation)
    (c) goal is to produce simple WSDL w.r.t. SOAP actions and operations

3. Focus on subset of MEPs
    (a) One-Way/Push -- sync and async
    (b) Two-Way/Push-and-Push -- async only

4. Header fields
    (a) maintain ebMS header mapping?
    (b) profile AS2 headers?
    (c) use of WS-Addressing constructs?? (routing, endpoint id, and
relates-to)

5. Message-level Security
    (a) Governed by WS-Security and WS-I Basic Security Profile
    (b) XML DSig
    (c) XML Encryption
    (d) Use of X.509 security tokens only
    (e) detached signatures only

6. Business Non-repudiation
    (a) Use of eb:Receipt which is mapping of MDN
    (b) How much of any RM do we need?

7. Payloads
    (a) No payloads in the SOAP body
    (b) Support multiple document payloads?
    (c) Support payload compression?

8. Profile Development Schedule -- Since most of this has been spec'd in
ebMS 3.0, can we profile for this focal points in a May-July 2008
timeframe? That's the schedule I'd like to shoot for... a draft ready
by mid-summer.
