Subject: Re: [ebxml-msg-comment] ebXML 'Acknowledgement' vs 'Acknowledgment'
Hi Andrew, not being a native English speaker myself I'll refrain from the spelling war between UK and US. However, in terms of what is right in the XML documents, the answer is fairly simple: whatever the governing (normative) XSD or DTD says it is. For ebMS, that means the proper spelling is Acknowledgment (see section 8.6 and line 2502 of the ebms.pdf) For ebBPSS, the proper spellings are: ReceiptAcknowledgement and AcceptanceAcknowledgement (line 3045 and 3149 of the ebbpss.pdf, the ebbp-2.0.4.xsd appears to concur) Deviation will lead to non-conformance and non-interoperability. kind regards, Gait Boxman Andrew.Mulholland@mincom.com wrote: > Hi, > > I'd like to bring to your attention an anomaly between the ebMS/ebBPSS > specifications and the ebXML-bp XSD regarding the spelling of > 'Acknowledgement'.
