I would like to take a breather after v2.0+ is complete.  However, there are
some important issues we have deferred which need to be worked on (v3.0?).  The
meeting in May might be a good time to start on those?

Brian Gibb is in charge of the next version...

	I agree totally, but we need people to get involved.  Try posting
this to the list and see if we can get any response.  I don not think we are
finished, that was why I wanted a 1.1 fixed version for December then a 2.0
with extra functionality for Summer/Fall this year.

We have deferred several items which need to be in version 3.0 (?) and need
to
be discussed.  After we pause for breath prior to diving into v3.0, we need
to
start seriously considering these issues (multi-hop, encapsulation,
XMLencryption, active intermediaries, alternate routing, etc.).  May might
be a
good time to get started on these issues?

I haven't checked with Rik yet to see if he will let me go, but I don't
think he
would have any objections.

	it's a nice time of year to be there!! On a serious note do we have
work to do?  At the moment we have nothing beyond the current document, I
have asked this several times and got no real response.  Lets see if anyone
responds to the list.

Any interest on the part of the IIC TC to have a TC meeting in Barcelona?
There would also be joint meetings with other OASIS TCs, as well as with
ebTWG. This is in conjunction with XML Europe 2002 (www.xmleurope.com), in
which OASIS is a very active participant.

I'm trying to gauge interest ASAP. If interested, please let me know.

URGENT - PLEASE RESPOND

I have just heard from ebTWG that they could, after all, hold joint
TC/WG meetings with us in Barcelona the week of 20 May. We asked them
this a couple months ago and they said no, but now say that they could.

I need to know from you right away if, given that ebTWG can meet with us
for joint meetings, your TC can hold meetings in Barcelona that same
week.

The meetings would probably be a similar format to the pre-Vienna
meetings: plenaries on Monday and Friday, with team meetings during the
week. This would give plenty of opportunity for cross-team meetings,
etc.
