Subject: Groups - MEP update contribution (ebms3-MessagingModel-newMEP.pdf) uploaded
Proposed alternate definition of MEPs, in order to address the first comments on the public review draft raised by TC during f2f. This only affects the definiton and model for MEPs (not the message packaging and protocol). The comments addressed are: 1. too much reliance on SOAP MEPs some of them are not formally defined yet, and their binding to underlying protocols not defined in some cases (plus, some alternate bindings e.g. PAOS could in the future render reliance on SOAP MEPs not so meaningful w/r to constraints in using the underlying protocol.) 2. the message relationship pattern and the way these messages bind to the underlying protocol are too tightly associated in ebMS MEPs. In many cases only the former needs be specified when binding a business transaction to ebMS (e.g. with CPA), the underlying protocol details may be known only later at deployment time. Definition should reflect this reality. -- Mr Jacques Durand The document revision named MEP update contribution (ebms3-MessagingModel-newMEP.pdf) has been submitted by Mr Jacques Durand to the OASIS ebXML Messaging Services TC document repository.
