Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (EBXMLMSG-24) Section 3.5 of the AS4 Profile Sub Channel Clarification

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/EBXMLMSG-24?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=34607#action_34607 ]

Sander Fieten commented on EBXMLMSG-24:
---------------------------------------

The sub-channel feature is indeed not only for multi-hop. So the wording of the intro for section 3.5 should be changed. As discussed on the TC meeting of September 11th the proposed text is fine but should have the word "not" added between "If" and "used" in the second sentence. That way the proposal correctly specifies the expected behavior in peer-to-peer mode.

The proposed text is than:
The sub-channel feature as defined in section 2 of ebMS V3 Part 2 ( [ebMS3ADV]) MAY be supported by an AS4 MSH either for partitioning messages for different pulling partners and/or for routing purposes in a multi-hop context. If not used in a multi-hop context, the sub-channel feature applies to a sending AS4 MSH in the same way as it applies to the edge intermediary as described in ebMS V3 Part 2.
