Subject: FYI: Minder, AS4, BP/BSP testing

Hi,

The following may be of interest to people in this TC.   From [1]:

Minder is a generic online programmable flow control engine that provides capability of interconnecting different systems in one node and enabling architects to perform complex communication operations on those interconnected systems. The model is named and based on Oasis Test Assertion Model and thus is more of an interest for conformance testing of any kind of system to a target specification. The model allows the programmers to create-group-edit-execute test stories (or more formally test assertions converted to test cases) and inspect and publish reports and logs about the results. In this sense, we may technically call Minder as a testbed in spite of the fact that it provides a more generic architecture.

You can access a running instance of Minder, and see the functionality currently covered, at https://193.140.74.199:9000

That instance is used, among others, for conformance testing of the OASIS AS4 standard [2] with a focus on the e-SENS AS4 profile [3].

A planned next step is to implement the test assertions defined in BP 2.0 [4] and BSP 1.1 [5], or at least the subsets that relate to AS4, which normatively refers to those specifications.
However, the BP and BSP tests could also be of interest to Web Services implementations not relating to AS4 that want to conform to BP and BSP.

Minder and the AS4 tests were developed by Tubitak in Turkey [6] for the EU e-SENS project [7].  The AS4 test assertions were designed by the EU Commission [8].

Kind Regards,

Pim
