Subject: USE OF eGOV MAILING LIST

To All Members

Your Steering Committee is now working hard on delivering its Work Programme – if you are not familiar with this Programme see http://www.oasis-egov.org/node/22 .  But to help us ensure we are delivering the right outputs to serve your needs we do want to encourage a two-way dialogue between all members.  There is a considerable amount of knowledge and experience within the Member Section and that is available to you to help you with your day-to-day work.

So if you need help or advice on any aspect relating to e-Government, please remember to use the egov-ms@lists.oasis-open.org mailing list to request such help.  It’s a free facility and provides you with access to a pool of people that almost certainly will be able to answer your question, and if not they will know who can.  A recent example of this found an answer for a colleague, Paul Spencer, in a matter of hours.

Also please remember to share your experiences with the Member Section.   So if you have recently completed a piece of work that you think would benefit the rest of the government community post a brief note to the mailing list.    The Steering Committee will probably help you develop that note into a full Guidance Note or Use Case for filing in the MS library.

Thank you for taking the time to read this note and I look forward to seeing a lot more traffic on the mailing list.

Regards

John Borras
